Dr. Scott Walter is Dean, University Library, at San Diego State University. Dr. Walter has served on the faculty of Washington State University, University of Kansas, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he held the rank of Professor of Library Administration and Library & Information Science, and has served as an adjunct member of the faculty at DePaul University, Dominican University, and San Jose State University. He has authored or edited more than 25 articles, book chapters, and monographs, and has presented at local, state, national, and international conferences. Dr. Walter has served in leadership positions in the Chicago Collections Consortium, Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois, Association of College & Research Libraries, American Educational Research Association, and OCLC Global Council, and was recognized in 2012 with the ACRL “Distinguished Education and Behavioral Sciences Librarian” Award.
